As reported from the
Montez family, our friend Jesse James "Audie"
Montez lost
his fight to cancer on April 15th 2010 surrounded by his
loved ones and family
members. Audie was a good friend to many and his fight
really showed us
what a true fighter can be like. He is survived by his wife Gwyn Montez; sons, Ryan Montez and Eric Montez; 9 sisters and 2 brothers.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Jesse James "Audie"
Montez Benefit Fund through IBC Bank to help off-set medical and family expenses.
Funeral services will be Monday, April 19, 2010 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

What a great response
we had Saturday April 10th 2010! The event organizers would like
to thank ALL
of you who came out & supported Audie Montez' benefit.
The volunteering
was so overwhelming and the donations far exceeded our expectations,
it was so great
to see how many do care for Audie, his Wife and their two
boys.
We started out the day with 600 pounds of chicken
and ended with 70 pounds due to the
fact that we ran out of all the fixin's. (rice,
beans, green beans and corn) We also ran out
of 300 pounds of sausage along with the bread. Sorry for not
having the cake walk, but
everyone purchased 14 cakes that where donated along
with cupcakes, brownies and
cookies before we could even start the walk. I was so lucky to buy a few cupcakes that
were
wonderful and moist, it kept me going throughout the day,
thank you!
This event was about Friendship and Volunteerism!
I think all who came out, saw this message and walked away with a smile on
there face. All things are possible through God
and that friendship is
an important part of everyone's life.
Now this is not an end but a beginning
for all of us and for our friend Audie, who
has
given us this wonderful moment in our lives along
with many others. Just
because you
couldn't make the event doesn't mean you can't
still help out. If you
